This pendant is based on a Viking age lead alloy find from York. It is very similar to a number of gold pendants probably manufactured in Denmark and found in Hiddensee, Germany, which gives it's name to this type. The York pendant is missing a lot of fine detail and so the used a find from Tolstrup, Denmark for reference.

Approx. Pendant size : 3.9 centimetre width x 4.5 centimetre height and 6 mm thickness, a large and heavy lead-free pewter pendant. Weight : 28 grams.

Black Cord Length: 72 centimetre.

Designed on the front and flat on the back.
