Inspired by the wonderful Harry Potter series, our design is similar to the "Dark Mark" of "He Who Must Not Be Named." In our "Muggle" world the symbolic meaning of skull and snake deals with the human saga of seeing beyond death and surrendering to life.

The Skull is a representation of Impermanence, Transition and Freedom. It signifies the liberation of worldly burdens. The skull represents the faint shadows that our physical self leaves behind upon our death.

The Snake is a symbol of great Power, Resurrection and Rebirth; Renewal and Transition; the shedding of the serpent's skin symbolizes man's ability to change and overcome adversity.

To summarize the symbolic meaning of the snake and skull; The conflict between life and death and the illusion associated with this conflict. Man's ability to recognize this message of impermanence; his ability to utilize innate powers to over come this thus Bringing Spiritual Ascension and the Overcoming of Conflict by seeing through Illusion.

Black cord option comes with an approx. 36 inch or 91.44 cm cord and a (lead free) pewter accent bead with laminated ends.

Chain option comes with a 2 mm flat link stainless steel chain of either 18 , 20 , 22 inch standard length or a 18 inch chain with an extension up to 4 inches ( 22 inch total ) in length for more flexibility and a lead free pewter accent bead. Wear them with or without bead!
