Sockeye were the first salmon to be harvested commercially in the Pacific Region. The rich colour and oil content of sockeye may be attributed to their diet which includes a high percentage of shrimp and other crustaceans. The name sockeye is believed derived from the Coast Salish name sukkai at one time in common usage in southwest BC.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.

Chain option comes with a 2 mm flat link stainless steel chain of either 18 , 20 , 22 inch standard length or a 18 inch chain with an extension up to 4 inches ( 22 inch total ) in length for more flexibility and a lead free pewter accent bead. Wear them with or without bead!
