As a boy in France, Vincent de Paul started his lifetime of good works, often sharing his food with the poor. He became a priest and was captured by pirates, but later released after he converted them. He returned to Paris and walked the streets of Paris each night rescuing infants and children whom were left to die. He opened hospitals and homes for orphans and old people. In 1833, the St. Vincent de Paul Society was founded as a worldwide organisation to give moral and material aid to the poor.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.

Chain option comes with a 2 mm flat link stainless steel chain of either 18 , 20 , 22 inch standard length or a 18 inch chain with an extension up to 4 inches ( 22 inch total ) in length for more flexibility and a lead free pewter accent bead. Wear them with or without bead!
