Ignatius was born to a noble Spanish Family and lived a life of privilege as a youth. A gallant soldier in the French and Spanish war, Ignatius was wounded in battle and spent months in convalescence at the Castle of Loyola. There, he studied the only literature available - the lives of saints. After his recovery was complete, he dedicated himself to God, spent years in study and scholarship and was eventually ordained. Ignatius founded the Society of Jesus - the Jesuits, a religious order now serving God around the world.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.

Chain option comes with a 2 mm flat link stainless steel chain of either 18 , 20 , 22 inch standard length or a 18 inch chain with an extension up to 4 inches ( 22 inch total ) in length for more flexibility and a lead free pewter accent bead. Wear them with or without bead!
