Elizabeth Ann, born an Episcopal, was raised in New York high society in the 18th century. She married and had five children. Her husband's business failed and soon after that he died, leaving Elizabeth with no money to support their family. She converted into Catholicism and opened private secular school to support her family. The Archbishop asked her to establish a Catholic girls school. This began the parochial school system in America.
The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
