Patron of Ireland, Scotland, poets and bookbinders.
Columba, also known as Columicelle, was in close succession to the throne of Ireland, but chose instead to become a monk. He was a missionary, statesman, scholar and poet. He was one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland and is said to have performed many miracles to convert the Picts to Christ. He died at the age of 75 and buried at the abbey he founded in Scotland. His relics are revered in both Ireland and Scotland where he is equally beloved.
The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
