Patron of Scotland, Russia and fishermen.
As an apostle of Jesus, St. Andrew spread his word throughout Asia and Greece and was eventually crucified on a diagonally shaped (saltire) cross. Some of St. Andrews remain were brought to Scotland for safekeeping. King Angus of Scotland prayed to St. Andrew for help during a battle. A white cloud appeared in the sky in the form of a saltire cross. When Angus won the battle, he declared St. Andrew the patron saint of Scotland.
The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
