Orcas are actually dolphins the largest of the Delphinidae family, recognisable by distinct black and white colouring. Once known as killer whales, orcas are exceptional predators, hunting cooperatively in family groups called pods. Their 46 - 50 teeth, each nearly 3 inches long, point slightly backward to grip and tear apart prey for easy swallowing. With pulsed calls that echo for many miles over the ocean, family members stay within hearing range of each other.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off.
