This pendant is based on a Viking age lead alloy find from York. It is very similar to a number of gold pendants probably manufactured in Denmark and found in Hiddensee, Germany, which gives its name to this type. The York pendant is missing a lot of fine detail and so the used a find from Tolstrup, Denmark for reference.

The Thor's hammer is pewter, the dragon heads are pewter, the chain and twist ring are stainless steel. The Thor's hammer comes on a very elaborate Viking chain with a substantial 'lobster claw' fastener.

Approx. Pendant size : 41 mm width x 47 mm height, a large and heavy pendant.
