The Witches Cauldron is an important tool of witches and sorcerers. The cauldron is considered a coven tool in many traditions rather than an individual one. It is usually made of iron. In the witch lore of the middle ages the cauldron was where poisons, ointments and philtres were brewed. It is often used as the focal point of group rituals and can contain flowers, a ritual fire, charged water, or incense. It may also be placed empty on the altar as a symbol of the Goddess or used to prepare brews or for divination by filling it with water and using it as a focusing point. Neo-Pagan witches still use the cauldron burning fires and incense in rituals. If used in a ritual the cauldron is usually placed on the witches alter inside the magic circle. There is strong magical significance to the cauldron in many cultures throughout history. It represents water, the Goddess, reincarnation, immortality and inspiration. The Celts associated cauldrons with fertility, abundance and revival of the dead. In Greek mythology the witch Goddess could restore people to youth in a magic cauldron. The cauldron is also linked to the chalice of the holy grail. The cauldron also was used by the alchemist in search of formulas to change lead into gold or silver.

The symbol on the front is of the Triple Goddess.

Chain option comes with a 2 mm flat link stainless steel chain of either 18 , 20 , 22 inch standard length or a 18 inch chain with an extension up to 4 inches ( 22 inch total ) in length for more flexibility and a lead free pewter accent bead. Wear them with or without bead!
