The little brown bat can live 30 - 40 years, one of the longest lifespans for any animal its size. After sleeping about 20 hours each day, a little brown bat will stay busy, catching 1,000 mosquitoes per hour. Little browns can detect the high-frequency echoes reflected back from insects beating wings or spiders footsteps. Little brown bats are the slowest-reproducing mammals for their size. Each female will have but one pup per year.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
