The javalina, also called a collared peccary or musk-hog, has a scent so strong you can smell the animal long before you see it! Javalinas live in large family groups or herds, to defend their territories from coyotes, bobcats and mountain lion predators. Evolving in South America, javalinas now thrive in the desert scrublands of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. As herbivores, javalinas eat desert plants. They love to eat prickly pear cacti, devouring the fruit right along with the spines!

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
