The Irish Druids saw the shamrock as a sacred plant because its leaves formed a triad and 3 is a mystical number representing: Spirit, Mind, Body; Mother, Father, Child; Past, Present, Future; Creator, Destroyer, Sustainer. The Shamrock is linked with Christian beliefs, symbolising sacredness and purity.
Saint Patrick used the shamrock to illustrate the presence of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost showing that the spirit of God existed in nature. When England attempted to outlaw the Catholic faith, Catholics used the shamrock as a symbol of Rebellion.
Our Shamrock is sculpted almost magically; the Celtic knots have no beginning or end, reminding us of the timeless nature of our spirit and the infinite cycles of birth and rebirth. The endless knot provides an unbroken barrier against discord and evil.
Use this symbol as a charm for warding off sickness or setbacks that might trouble an otherwise calm and stable life and bring good luck.
