While most horses are domestic, some are the feral descendants of once-tame animals that have run free for generations. There are more than 350 different breeds of horses in the world today, each bred for a specific purpose. At birth, a foal is so long-legged it has difficulty reaching down to graze on the growing grass. Horses have small stomachs for their size and need to eat little and often. They will graze for most of the day.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
