Over time, myths and legends associated with the moon have changed, but her primary association with the feminine spirit has not. The triple-crescent moons symbolise the three aspects of a woman's life - as maiden, mother and crone as well as the three fates - the Wyrd sisters, who control one's birth, life and death. The crescents are bound together by a full moon, the never-ending circle embracing all parts of the whole.
