The tall, long-legged great blue is an expert fisher. It is the most common and largest of North Americas herons. With its wingspan of 5 - 6 feet, the great blue heron can gracefully cruise at nearly 30 miles per hour. Although great blue herons generally hunt alone, they usually live in colonies, nesting in the tops of tall trees. Eating mostly fish and mice, herons have been known to choke to death trying to swallow a fish that is too big.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
