Giant pandas are the rarest species of bears, native to the central mountains and bamboo forests of China. Due to habitat loss and low birth rates, pandas remain an endangered species, dependent upon conservation efforts. Giant pandas spend 10 - 16 hours a day foraging for and eating the 20 - 40 lbs. of bamboo shoots their diet requires. At birth, a newborn panda cub weighs just 3 - 5 ounces, but by adulthood, it will weigh between 220 and 250 pounds.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.

Chain option comes with a 2 mm flat link stainless steel chain of either 18 , 20 , 22 inch standard length or a 18 inch chain with an extension up to 4 inches ( 22 inch total ) in length for more flexibility and a lead free pewter accent bead. Wear them with or without bead!
