Charles Rennie Mackintosh applied simple decoration, often in the form of a rose, to his designs. He believed in minimalist design, but with some limited decoration. The name Art Nouveau is French for new art. Art Nouveau was a style of distinct individuals such as Charles Rennie Mackintosh who interpreted it in their own manner. Fine example of handcrafted fine vitreous glass enamelled jewellery. Each piece is fired to 760C to set the Enamel and provide these vibrant colours. The vibrant colours typify ancient celtic art.
