Cottontails are very social, living in large burrows called warrens. They spend most of their lives on 10 acres or less. With a short white cottonball tail, the cottontail rabbit is distinct from its larger, longer-eared cousin, the jackrabbit. In a short lifespan of only 12 - 15 months, cottontails can raise as many as 6 litters in a year. Normally slow, cottontail rabbits can run at speeds of 18 miles per hour, zigzagging to confuse and elude predators.
The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
