Except for Antarctica, dragonflies are found worldwide, with the greatest number of species found in the tropics. A dragonfly's eye has 30,000 lenses that see 360 degrees. Dragonflies wings can beat 30 times per second, in any direction, each wing beating independently of the others. Dragonflies are the fastest of all flying insects, catching their food mid-flight at speeds up to 60 miles per hour.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
