Clarks nutcrackers are monogamous. A mated pair work together to build the nest, incubate, and raise their young. A pine seed specialist, the Clarks nutcracker can harvest and carry 90 seeds at a time in a special pouch under its tongue. Their seed caching behaviour ultimately establishes new stands of pine trees that will grow from unretrieved caches. Clarks nutcrackers can remember the exact location of each cache, even under winter snows nine months later.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
