North American largest land bird, the California condor is critically endangered, with less than 500 birds remaining. Today, conservation efforts use captive breeding and recovery programs to protect and rebuild the condor population. Condors are intermittent eaters. They can go without food for two weeks, until they again find carrion to gorge upon. With a wingspan over 9 feet, a condor can soar to heights of 15,000 feet, flying up to 55 miles per hour.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.

Chain option comes with a 2 mm flat link stainless steel chain of either 18 , 20 , 22 inch standard length or a 18 inch chain with an extension up to 4 inches ( 22 inch total ) in length for more flexibility and a lead free pewter accent bead. Wear them with or without bead!
