Native to Europe, brown trout are a very successful species, introduced to freshwater rivers and streams worldwide. In contrast to young brown trout, large browns do not sit and wait for food, but hunt actively, primarily at night. Brown trout can reach weights of more than 30 pounds, with a species world record catch at 41 pounds and 8 ounces. The brown trouts brassy colouring and medium-sized spots make it nearly invisible against a rivers stream bed.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
