Brook trout are members of the salmon family, and need clean, cold, well-oxygenated water in their streams and lakes. The striking colours and distinct markings of the brook trout are appreciated by avid anglers who enjoy fly fishing. Brook trout, sometimes called speckled trout, are 10 - 12 inches long, but can reach 21 inches and over 14 pounds! Being carnivores, they will eat anything that fits in their mouths, especially larval insects, small fish, and crustaceans.
The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
