As opportunistic omnivores black bears eat grasses, fruits, nuts, insects, small animals, and human food scraps. With a summertime diet rich in berries and nuts, black bears add the fat reserves they'll need to survive during winter. Not all black bears hibernate; populations vary by region, seasonal changes in temperature, and food availability. Black bears may look lumbering, but they can outrun the fastest human, can climb trees, and are superb swimmers.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
