In the fall, bighorn rams competing for ewes can charge each other at more than 20 mph in battles lasting 24 hours. A rams dramatically curved horns can reach 36 inches in length and 15 inches in circumference and can weigh 30 pound. Bighorns have been known to crowd together, facing outward to defend themselves from wolves and other predators. Bighorns graze on grasses, scrub and desert plants on the mountain slopes, alpine meadows, and in craggy rock ledges.

The unique making process of these porcelain pendants allows for more detail in designs than other mediums. These designs are fired into the clay at 2200 degrees, so they will not peel or wear off. Each piece is surprisingly lightweight.
