King Solomon, the luxurious monarch, who reigned 1000 years before Christ, was renowned for his wisdom and according to Jewish, Christian and Muslim legend, had acquired a formidable reputation as Master magician. Ancient stories have suggested that an Angel brought Solomon his magical powers; this illustrates that all magicians draw their power ultimately from the grace of God. In Solomon's book, the Clavicula Solomonis, (the key of Solomon the king) there are seven pentacles for each of the seven ancient planets. We have chosen the fourth and fifth pentacles for their power and beauty.

The fourth pentacle of Venus is of great power, since it compels the spirits of Venus to obey and to force on the instant any person thou wishes to come to thee. At the four angles of the figure are the four letters of the name, YHWH (the unpronounceable name of God; Yahweh or Jehovah).

The fifth pentacle of Venus, when it is only showed unto any person so ever, it incited and excited wonderfully unto love. Around the central square are the names, Eloliim, El Gebil, and two other names, which I cannot decipher, and have therefore given them as they stand. The characters are those of the Passing of the River.

The surrounding Versicle is from Psalm XXII 14:- my heart is like wax it is melted in the midst of my bowels. This combination is said to be the ultimate love talisman as the combination of the fourth and fifth pentacles will double the power of a single pentacle.

Made of high quality excelsior pewter. Double sided design (different seal on each side).

Black cord option comes with an approx. 36 inch or 91.44 cm cord and a (lead free) pewter accent bead with laminated ends.

Chain option comes with a 2 mm flat link stainless steel chain of either 22 inch standard length or a 18 inch chain with an extension up to 4 inches ( 22 inch total ) in length for more flexibility and a lead free pewter accent bead. Wear them with or without bead!
